Ian's response to current talent sitatution
« Thread Started on Jul 31, 2005, 9:27pm »

You know folks this is indy wrestling. There is a lot of independent wrestlers out there. In indy wrestling, wrestlers come and go. But with all 4 guys who are in this sitatution, I wish them all the best of luck in the future and nothing but the best. Friday night when I called to check in on the show, I was made aware of a sitatution in which BJ Whitmer refused to do what was asked of him because of his current position with another company. And because of this, I had to set an example that the wrestlers don't run the show and pulled BJ Whitmer off of 3 upcoming shows he had with IWA. This was an action I had to take, to maintain my authority. When I spoke to BJ, he said he felt he was doing what he had to do and he understood I was doing what I had to do. The door is open for BJ to return to IWA sometime in the future if we agree on it. As far as the other 3 who have left the company, they certainly were not treated like "greenhorns" , they were treated the best they could be. And if they can't understand that, during these tough times, then I wish them the best of luck wherever they can go to be treated better. I do the best I can with what I have , and that is all there is to it. I did what I had to do to protect IWA and that is what I will always do. Ian

(Was something wrong with this post? I'm not wrong...)

Apparently he doesn't want anyone commenting on the statement (which it will subsequently be commented on CW.com's board which WON'T be deleted off).

I don't care whether he wants to try and justify it by saying he was helping out a friend, we all know he was taking the payday. You telling me he couldn't find anybody else as a replacement? Ha.

Ian took the shortcut, left the events he was scheduled on, screwed the fans, screwed the boys, and is now punishing others for stuff he can't say he hasn't done.

Oh, and way to go losing the guys that carried IWAMS when you needed them most.

TPI 2005 will be the last successful event IWAMS ever has if they don't rectify this situation by doing what is right.

Keeping authority...ha, show up to your own show.

The posts that were deleted off had nothing to do with this post. rjmc101's post was deleted by mistake. It was stated in another post that it was posted that Ian WOULD NOT be in Herrin do to being in TOD. If you would read down , thats the reason. Things just need to be posted in the proper place. If Ian hadn't wanted comments he wouldn't have posted a response. Thanks

Ian was booked to face Chad Collyer in Herrin...it was posted on the message boards but no one found because it was practically hidden. I see no confirmation either by any of IWA Mid South officials...

Are there even any officials left?

I will be at the TPI, a fan of seeing the best wrestling event of the year, but this kind of stuff has turned me off from any other IWA events unless something happens to right the ship.

It was not "hidden" as you state. It was in the thread of "Ian in TOD"........ As far as righting the ship, Ian stated the door is open for BJ to possibly be back in IWA in the future. As far as the other 3 people involved ,it was their choice to leave. None of the 3 have been in contact with Ian. I don't know how you think Ian screwed the boys, they knew he wouldn't be there.

I see no announcement from anyone in IWA:MS in that thread, nor anywhere on this board saying Ian would not be in Herrin. Which is fine, cards are subject to change...

...but the owner of the promotion? Taking a booking on a Thursday before the show!?

I can't wait for 20 years from now when former WWE Star BJ Whitmer does a shoot interview dissing IWA:MS. But we'll see... see ya at the TPI.

Time heals all wounds, just give it time and we'll see what happens. In the meantime, the major concern needs to be figuring out how to get good crowds in Rens and Hammond next weekend.

I'll be at both shows. I am bringing a couple people Saturday night. If anyone is in Central IL and needs a ride Friday night, hit me up. The more people that come, the more tickets, the more money for IWA-MS, so let's roll deep for these shows. But who will film the events now that Prazak is out?

Chuck Taylor's imitation of Jimmy Jacobs as champion is even worse than Jimmy Jacobs as champion.

SMV films most shows, not Prazak.

Most, yeah. But Prazak has filmed all the shows I've been to since War Games. I missed a couple, but he filmed the others I went to since then.

I think Prazak filming a handfull of shows is the least important of his contributions to IWA. It'll be easy enough to find someone to handle that.

I'm more interested in who the main play-by-play man will be now.

Who would be the options? Fannin would have to be in there, Nate Webb does a lot too. Who else would make a good choice for commentaries?

Joey Eastman did the Shadows Over Vincennes show, so maybe they'll have to use him.
