Zach Gowen defeated Ultimo Drunko (sub for El Drunko) (w/ Woody Numbers).

"Human Horror Show" Supreme defeated Jon Moxley.

Eugene defeated "Violent" Vance Desmond (sub for Tracy Smothers)

Sam Hane won the Past, Present and Future Over the Top Rope Challenge by last eliminating both Day Brothers. Other participants were Viper, Warpig, Bulldozer, Bildo, Louis Lyndon and Deacon B. Furious.

TJ Phillips and Trik Nasty (w/ Woody Numbers) defeated Eric Darkstorm and Jason "The Gift" Kincaid when "Omega" Aaron Draven interfered.

The Irish Airborne (Jake and Dave Crist) defeated Incoherence (Hallowicked and Frightmare).

Michael "The Bomber" Facade defeated Shiima Xion, Flip Kendrick and Zac Vincent in a 2009 Zero-G Crown Scaffold Match.

Big Japan Wrestling Deathmatch Champion Yuko Miyamoto defeated Mad Man Pondo. Terry Funk was the special guest referee. After the match, Terry told Pondo he wants him to start using his "Desperado" theme music.

Attendance - All bleachers were full and three sides of the floor seats were full as well. Looked to be about 200-300 in attendance.

Mad Man Pondo defeated WHACKS (sub for Masada) in a Double Hell Cage Match.

"Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger defeated "The Human Horror Show" Supreme in a Pains of Glass Match.

Danny Havoc defeated "The New Horror" Sami Callihan in a Tough as Nails Match.

Yuko Miyamoto defeated "Notorious" Devon Moore in a Scaffold Match.

SEMI-FINALS
"Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger defeated Mad Man Pondo in a Fans Bring the Weapons Match.

Yuko Miyamoto defeated Danny Havoc in a Hanging by a Thread Match.

FINALS
Yuko Miyamoto defeated "Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger in a Nope Rope Barbed Wire/Barbed Wire Boards/Ladder Match.

Attendance - 250-300.

Masters of Pain sounds unbelievable! I would have liked to have seen Drake pull it out in the finals, as having Yuko win seemed a little predictable. I'll definitely pick it up, though.

What is a "Hanging by a Thread" match?

There were ropes hanging from the rafters all the way around the ring, and they were used as swinging vines to use moves with added leverage to the opponents. Kind of like Tarzan meets deathmatches. Cool concept.

Some other details about both shows:

--Trik Nasty and T.J. Phillips versus Darkstorm and Kincaid was all sorts of awesomeness. Omega Aaron Draven running in and turning heel was great! He's going to make such a badass heel! That psychotic look after nailing Kincaid with chair shots was cool as I have a potty mouth!

--As if that couldn't be topped, Hallowicked and Frightmare vs. Irish Airbourne did. Great high flying spots galore, and all right in front of me in the front row. Beautiful move upon move. I fucking loved both of these matches.

--Whacks suffered a NASTY injury against Pondo, breaking his arm, with bone and all sticking out of the flesh according to one of the SMV cameramen. I didn't get a good look at it or exactly even how it happened... his exact words... "It's pukeworthy!" So, I guess some good backstage footage from our friends at SMV will be forthcoming.

--Havoc and Sami KILLED each other. Match of the night by a long shot, top three MOP match of all time. They played their feud from CZW and brought it over to IWA-EC like there was no difference. Great thing about this match was, we all know Sami can wrestle... I now know Havoc can wrestle too... he was bringing moves I'd never seen from anybody before. Beautiful moves. Fucking explosive intensity. I was made to believe these two truly hate each other, and that's what matters.

--Devon Moore gave Miyamoto a sit out powerbomb off of a smaller scaffold, ONTO a table... which DID not and WOULD not break, even after a shooting star press also. Cringeworthy for sure. I thought backs were broken for sure.

--Supreme bled like a stuck hog... blood squirting from his head like a faucet... reallly sickening.

--Drake Younger is a lucky bastard... against Pondo, his head was rammed into the chest of a lovely woman who had IWA spelled out on her shirt in thumbtacks.... anyone who has watched IWA-EC DVD's and KOTDM DVD's in the past, I am sure has seen this lovely vixen.

--Some sick, brutal spots in the finals featuring barbed wire boards bridging the guardrails and the ring apron.

--All in all, I think 2008 was better... Ito and Thumbtack Jack just escalated the violence to that next level. Masters of Pain 2009 runs a close second though. Sami and Havoc is worth the DVD alone. The two matches from Friday's show makes Legacy of Brutality a must buy DVD. I love Darkstorm! He's going somewhere in this business. If there is ever another TPI, Darkstorm MUST be in it.

I was hoping it would be on par with or better than 2008, (2008 was fucking amazing)but this show still seems like a solid purchase.

2008 is always going to be tough to top. But these shows sound incredible. I'll definitely pick them up.
