IWA Mid South, why do you respond to Todd? He barely went to the shows under old ownership and he won't go to the shows under new ownership either. lol

I'd just be happy if I can use my $160 that Ian owes me at the new shows. That'd give me reason to take the 3-4 hour drive minimum to every show.

Let's hope they honor it for you and for everybody else that is owed money. The shows also may or may not be changing locations. Maybe they'll come closer to Iowa. I'm still proud to say that I always received every piece of merchandise and every ticket I ever purchased from IWA. I realize I was one of the lucky ones.

Not to be a dick but the pattern of information "sharing" is being handled the same way as it always has - an announcement without full disclosure, legit questions mixed with some heckling, everyone's question handled with stonewalling and veiled, implied threats of retaliation, and still no answers after days or weeks. What next, will the new ownership be canceled?
No offense but you owe all your true fans a lot more than this song & dance routine, it's gotten really old.

It's tough to argue with that right now.
I realize that you were probably excited to announce that IWA was under new ownership, but the lack of detail following the announcement has been very disconcerting. Making an announcement about ownership followed by details is fine... it builds anticipation; but the time for that has passed, and it has created doubt and questions for your loyal followers.
It's been almost 3 weeks since the original announcement... it's time to hear something.

I agree its about time to hear something even if it is bad news. 3 weeks hmmmmmmmm......... starts to set alarm bell's ringing and that "more news coming soon" does that mean this year or next!! just an update would do.

I'm thinking that if there were some news it would probably be that they were looking for a venue, which isn't very exciting.

Still better than nothing.
I know this sounds strange, but I was having some issues with my Mediacom service today, and when I went to their forums, I noticed almost every 3rd or 4th post was from a moderator. They appear to be very in-touch with people and as a new Mediacom customer, it gave me a lot of hope and faith in the customer service of the company.
And while I realize that IWA isn't a customer service-oriented business like Mediacom, it still goes a long way to see that their employees are in touch with the customers.

CONFIRM OR DENY: THE NEW OWNER IS NICK MANIWA? there was a post on his Facebook that lends credibility to this. But Nicky is a Facebook whore. I gave up looking after like 2 minutes. someone else do it.

It's not a good sign that the new owners were apparently unaware that they'd have an uphill battle when it comes to messaging. They should have had a plan in place before going public. Instead, they're getting people speculating about who owns it, what Ian's role will be, whether the sale has actually gone through, whether old debts will be paid, what high-priced tournaments should take place immediately, etc etc. Much of this was preventable, or at least could have been minimized.
