I wish I had taken advantage of the sale. I wasn't planning on spending $75, but just tonight I got a little impulsive and spent $60. Oh well.

and that $60 essentially equals the $75 needed. With the sale, you could have got a free DVD

Honestly, I never order from SMV any more, unless I get the 25% off. There's just so much I want to see on there, I can always fill out a 4 show order

I'll be honest, this was the first wrestling DVD outside of IWA MidSouth that I've purchased in a loooooong time. I'm a self-proclaimed death match mark. I was sold on this show when Drake Younger told me it was the best deathmatch tournament he had ever seen, let along participated in. I'll come back with a review after it arrives and I check it out.

You will no be disappointed, BenJo. All of Thumbtack Jack's matches were some of the sickest matches I have ever seen. Esepcially in the Cabin Fevor match. INSANE light tube bump that legit looks like something out of a Hollywood stunt flick.. The big bumps into the barbed wire trampoline rival any barbed wire bump I have seen, other than the ones from the circus death match. The finals was just an outright war..

I think I have said it before on this board and I will say it again. 2007 Masters of Pain was my first death match tournament seeing live, and although I LOVED it... to me, there was Brain Damage and Necro, and then there was the REST of the tournament. Damage and Necro got me super high, and then for the most part the rest of the show was just... eh!
When Thumbtack Jack and Pondo opened 2008 Masters of Pain with just an out of this world, brutal, hard to watch, sick, perverse match, I was like... "Oh well, here we go again. We've seen the best match tonight." (and I had) But unlike last year, the rest of the tournament delivered in a huge way. Even though I was there live, I am hoping hope beyond hope that this was one of the DVD's my mom got me for Christmas. I actually still think that Royal Weekend of Death as a whole was a little bit better being there live. (I guess because I mark for scaffolds) But both weekends, nothing went wrong in my eyes.

Also, I would definitely recommend the Zero G DVD as well, for the Sami-Viper match alone. They beat the shit out of each other in the barbed wire boards match, made me a fan of Sami for life. Also the first round and semifinal matches of Carter Gray were awesome, and made me a Carter Gray fan for life as well.

INSANE light tube bump that legit looks like something out of a Hollywood stunt flick.. You mean the one through the wooden platform? I don't remember if it's been mentioned here or not but TJ was knocked out on that one, in case you couldn't tell from the dvd. A friend of mine was on that side taking pictures when it happened and he said PJ Drummond was looking around like he didn't know whether to call the match or not.

Mine should arrive Friday. I'll give it to Mike Burns and company... they really are good at shipping things out quickly. But then again, that's their business. Anyone know how many employees and what kind of facility they have?

Anyone know how many employees and what kind of facility they have? Yes they are. Smartmark video is the best. I ordered from the sale on Thursday and got my order on Tuesday. I forgot to order IWA 8th Anniversary show through the sale so I ordered that DVD on Monday and received it on Wednesday. They are good. That is why I don't care what people on the czw board say about ordering from highspots and other DVD companies, I still will only order from smartmark video. Great! Great! service.

Burns has a house. That's it as far as I know. Last number Dinger told me was about 7 guys. SMV is totally awesome in so many ways.

I wonder if he has all the thousands of these DVD's on huge external hard drives or if he just has massive master folders with all of them in there. When I sent my order in, he had printed the shipping label within 10 minutes. He must keep things so well organized and arranged. Really unbelievable. I'm still going to order everything IWA straight from Patti, but boy, he's good at what he does. I know this isn't the topic at hand, but I ironically, I don't have my copy yet. But seriously, I ordered it on Tuesday night at about 9:00, it sent Wednesday, and should be here Friday. Can't really ask for better than that.
