First and foremost, for those that haven't heard yet we would like to inform everyone that Scott Hall will not be able to make this show. Before the haters start, his flight was booked (as can be seen in the
apology thread) and he was more than hyped to get to come and take the IWA East Coast Championship, but as many of you also know his close friends the Insane Clown Posse are currently in L.A. filming the sequel to their Billboard chart topping
Big Money Hustlas entitled
Big Money Rustlas in which Scott has a role.
But don't worry, Scott has informed us that he will be back on a later date, and if he has to bring some friends along to take the belt home then so be it.
If anyone would like a full refund we are more than willing to give one, just get a hold of us through the boards or at the show and we'll work out the details.
Now, as for the show itself, our annual show that many consider the "Wrestlemania of IWA", we proudly present
A Need To Bleed 2009....
In the first triple threat match in IWA East Coast history we have some of the standout participants of the
2008 Zero-G Crown tournament, including the eventual winner, Morgantown, West Virginia's own
Shiima Xion, against IWA East Coast's resident ninja
Michael Facade, and our perennial junior heavyweight star
Zac Vincent.
Will Shiima be able to defend his Zero-G Crown and confirm his stance that his win against "Quick" Carter Gray wasn't a fluke, or will one of IWA's fastest rising stars be able to make that next jump to possible main event status?
Next, in tag action we have
Juggulator (undoubtedly with Woody Numbers, because he's never far behind) teaming with his on-again off-again rival, the returning
Sam Hane, now known as
The Murder Junkies, taking on
The Day Brothers (Shawn & David Day).
This one, as anyone that has seen these four men can tell you, could go any direction. Will Juggulator break out the lighttubes? Will Sam Hane start swinging chairs? I'm sure Shawn and David would love to take it right to the fans. I guess we'll all have to wait and see what these men have in store for IWA.
Unpredictable. That's all that can really be said about this match. I know the last one sounded that way too, but when you have two men that hate one another and each has a victory (and in turn a very infuriating loss) against the other, who really can say what can, and very well may happen.
On one side of the ring we have a former Zero-G Crown winner in
"Omega" Aaron Draven, a man that obviously doesn't care how much damage he has to inflict on himself to win (as can be seen in his IWA title match against El Drunko when he dived from the balcony onto the Gang Bang Connection), and on the other side, the Innovator of Intensity
"Violent" Vance Desmond. We here at IWA have seen Vance in ladder matches in other companies, and while we would never take sides in any matter, we would like to warn Omega to watch his head.
As Mr. Christian would say, "what the hell are we doing?!?".
Now, taking it a little old school we have
"Simply Marvelous" Mitch Ryder, the man that personifies "Memphis wrestling" against "The Founding Father of IWA East Coast", hardcore wrestling legend
Mad Man Pondo in a Cowbell Deathmatch.
Mitch called and demanded this match, saying he wants to come back to IWA East Coast and what better way to make a name for himself to the local fans than to not only take on arguably the biggest star in IWA East Coast history in Mad Man Pondo, but to do it in his specialty match.
After a very impressive debut at
Oktoberfist in a win against Sami Callihan, "The Messiah of the Backbreaker"
Roderick Strong is returning to face IWA East Coast Champion
Trik Nasty.
When Trik Nasty heard that Scott Hall wasn't going to be able to make this show for their match Trik demanded the very best, so what he got was a the winner of last year's "Match Of The Year" (as voted on by the fans) and quite possibly one of the stiffest people in IWA East Coast.
Will Trik be able to hold on to the title for one more match on his way to breaking Chris Hero's record-long nineteen month reign or will Roderick become only the fifth champion in company history?
Everyone knows
Necro Butcher. Fan favorite, Morgantown's own "King Of the West Virginia Bar Fighters", yada yada yada. And I'm sure everyone remembers
"The New Horror" Sami Callihan. He debuted at
Oktoberfist in an impressive effort against Roderick Strong and then beat Viper in a non-tournament Barbed Wire Boards Match at this past
Zero-G Crown tournament.
But at
Zero-G Sami said some things that have since got under Necro's skin. He referred to himself as the "baddest, craziest man in the midwest", to which Necro replied "Where was he at
Masters Of Pain? This kid wouldn't have even opened
Stiff Competition."
As if this fire even needed fuel Necro threw a barrel of gasoline on it. Now will Sami be able to make Necro eat his words, or will he be just another notch on the belt of the "Deathmatch Jesus"?
This is
A Need To Bleed right? You all expect barbed wire, lighttubes, broken bodies and bloody heads, right? Well we have to give it to you, so for your sick entertainment pleasure we present
WHACKS vs
Viper in a Double Ropes Hell Match.
You may remember WHACKS from his Thumbtacks Deathmatch against Juggulator at the
2007 Zero-G Crown for a spot in this last year's
Masters Of Pain Invitational, and although Juggz came out on top WHACKS put on a great showing. If you weren't there then check out the image above to see how he looked post-match.
Now, you're asking "what the hell is a Double Ropes Hell Match", and it's simple, we'll take two sides of the ring ropes and cover them with as much barbed wire as we can find, then the other two sides will be laced with lighttubes.
Fun for the whole family!
