King of the Death Matches 2011 A return of the original TPI
Maybe Volcano Girls 3 (it is a really great women's tournament)

AIW's TPI was a good show, like it or not.
To reclaim the TPI, IWA-MS has to be better. If the restart really works, they may think about it after a year of shows that actually happen, but not earlier.
Volcano Girls 3 is something I would love to see.
What I don't want to see is KOTDM, or any kind of deathmatches. I hate this stuff. I'm sure they will be there though. If somebody pays money for the name, he will do what IWA-MS is most (in)famous for.

I still enjoy a deathmatch, but it must make it more difficult to secure a venue once you start going that road again..

I think everyone will agree on developing a well-rounded roster, bringing back significance to death matches, and giving prestige back to the title belts.
Here's a few things I think are important for the new owners to recognize:
Venue -Having a good venue means one that's both convenient & consistent. Ian had some good things going at previous places, especially the Midlothian/Plainfield combo because fans from Illinois & Indiana had chances to catch shows live. I really think having shows in Chicago will make a difference as well.
Tradition -IWA-MS has a long, memorable history and it would be a shame to erase it. Now I don't know if the new owners are going to acknowledge this or leave it in the past so I'll just get what I want to say off my chest. If the TPI & KOTDM tournaments are no longer, your going to seriously piss off most of us loyal to even some semi-loyal fans. That would mean diminishing the already existing fan base.
Family -More than anything, IWA has been a family to all of us for years now. Whether you have been watching it for 2 years or 10 years, if you've been to a show live than you understand what it means to be part of the family. The reason I'm saying this is because the smartest thing the new owners can do is listen to the fans. Now we don't know who the new owners are but as far as I'm concerned if Ian & his family took the time to listen to us than so should the people running this company in the future. I feel the worst thing the new owners can do is not take this thread seriously.
With that being said, good luck to whoever's going to take control. I'm extremely excited to hear the good news and can't wait for another IWA show!

The reason I'm saying this is because the smartest thing the new owners can do is listen to the fans. Now THAT is the one thing that I want to see continued in the new IWA, the family feel of the events. Whenever I would make that 6 hour drive, I would look forward to being able to hang out with fellow wrestling fans, who love the same kind of wrestling I do, almost as much as I would to seeing the wrestling itself. I remember talking to Deranged a couple years ago back and he said Ian was all about the fans. I don't know if Ian would go up to the boys and tell them to make themselves accesable to the fans, or anything like that, but I think the worst thing the new owner can do is go up to a wrestle and say something like "You're a heel. If I see you break kayfabe and chatting with the fans, you're fired"

The one thing I appreciate most about IWA fans more than any other is their appreciation for what the guys and gals do in the ring at each show. It didn't matter if there were 20 or 200 people at a show... everyone in the ring gave 100%. Of course IWA had its share of bad matches, but thanks to the atmosphere and general vibe of each show, personally, I was able to look past those things and still have an amazing time each time I attended.
It seems like every time I watched a death match from another promotion, the boos would start raining if someone didn't go through a light tube covered flaming table in the first 30 seconds. There's nothing I hate more than that. IWA fans never did that. There weren't any pre-conceived notions of how a match should or would go. Each wrestler entered the ring with a clean slate in the fans eyes, and the fans let them take the match wherever they wanted it to go.
Interactivity, community, heart, effort, desire, socializing... that's what made IWA shows great. Sure, there was drama that I could have done without, but it's still the best experience I've ever had going to wrestling shows, bar none.

1 Death Match Tournament a year, 1 Women's Tournament, and 1 Pure Wrestling Tournament. So, King of the Death Matches, Volcano Girls, and Tedd Petty Invitational.
More than that is shooting the promotion in the foot. The rest of the year needs to be feud based, and great competitions on each card. So, Double Death, and Queen of the Death Matches should be gone. Prince of the Death Matches would be great if it were broken up over several shows, with the winner getting a slot in King of the Death Matches and their choice of opponent and stip.
That with consistent venues, a decent roster, and the Family would bring IWA back to the top in my book.

The site was out of date before that show was even posted. This problem was raised before but nothing was done about it, so I wouldn't look to see it happen any time soon, as nice as that would be! I still remember the first I ever came here, and wondering who the hell Rollin' Hard was Ah, olden times an' that.
