C'mon man, let's compare the work side by side. If you can't tell a difference, then you are a moron. Plain and simple.

No I'm not a moron but yes you are a mark. I'm still waiting for you to explain to me why landing on Japanese blades is more appealing then landing on American blades? I would be a moron if I said that John Rare is a better wrestler then Jun Kasai, but I didn't say that, did I? Obviously Kasai has more experience then John Rare, I mean Kasai is a legend. But I just don't see how one can be a fan of Jun Kasai and at the same time hate on John Rare.

Different strokes for different folks.
I'm excited to see who else is announced for this tournament. I had no idea it was even announced until Friday night when I was attending another show.

Razor boards are a gimmick, I enjoy gimmick wrestling matches (not all of them, can't stand razor wire matches). However much I like to see blood in a Death Match (another gimmick) I want to see the performers capable of walking out on their own. Granted both men walked out of the match Rare and Boodrow had, Boodrow very nearly did not. That bothers me. Now Jun Kasai, he seems to have a great ring awareness (which comes with being a, as Abdullah the Butcher would put it, professional). He bumps like he knows what he is doing, Rare tosses his body around at odd angles. This has nothing to do with mat wrestling, but wrestling basics which even Death Match wrestlers need.

Yan.. people will hate on anything IWADS related... the carnage cup was awesome and the only thing people talked about was the boxcutter spot and how horrific and how stupid it was. Nobody paid attention to Rare's other match which was just as awesome! Boodrow is eh to me... but he has grapefuit size balls to let another man cut him like that!

I don't hate on IWA-DS. I've stayed out of this conversation minus saying I don't need to see a guy get stabbed with a box cutter again. It's the first thing I ever saw that I thought really did go too far in a death match.
Everyone has different limits though.

I've seen the Carnage Cup, and I think there are some guys from that tournament that should be booked for KODM, but AGAINST THE RIGHT PEOPLE. There's no denying it, Rare and Boodrow both have balls the size of grapefruits for what they did in their match, but what they were lacking was workrate.
With the boxcutter spot, Rare grabbed Boodrow, pulled out the boxcutter and stabbed him in less than three seconds. I had to rewind the dvd to see what happened. If it was a veteran like Drake or Necro who was stabbing Boodrow, if they would have done that spot, they would have slowed it down a little to show everyone what they were doing.
Personally, I'm all for seeing a guy like Rare or Boodrow in the KODM. Someone willing to do some batshit crazy bumps working with someone who can tell them when and where to do them could make for an awsome match.

People like Kasai will do something and let you see it, make a show of it, let it sink in. John Rare for example just seemed to be throwing spots away like used tissues. That's the main difference, even aside from the actual wrestling ability of Kasai over him, but still.

As stated above, it's what leads into the bump and how the bump is communicated to the crowd that matters. The anticipation, the build up, payoff is what makes something special instead of a just a guy jumping into blades. Like I said, HUGE difference. And I never meant to "hate" on John Rare. He's obviously willing to do alot for deathmatches, and I respect that. It's all a matter of opinion, I'm not trying to say that I have the almighty opinions that should be worshiped.

Bottom line is IWA Mid South is back and its a beautiful thing for a wrestling business. I think this is a perfect time to start working with Deep South instead of continuing the beef that started during the times of Ian Rotten. Now that IWA is under new ownership, all previous politics must be put aside, otherwise it will never work. Just my opinion.

John Rare broke his leg doing a suicide dive and Boodrrow almost died at CC taking a bump off the coke machine I guess because he would rather make it look cool bumping his head off the ground when rare wants the table to break his fall more insted of tucking his chin in for when Rare takes them through the table. They suck terribly and are no better than any back yarder that could be payd 20 dollars to be in this tourny. Get respectable DM wrestlers that can go out for the first round.

Actually wow, you reminded me, that head bounce off the concrete from that height was NOT good.
I've got no problem with Deep South though, I have enjoyed most of the Carnage Cups. Aside from that one with the terrible commentary that almost totally ruined it (the one outside, can't remember who they were though).

And I agree old grievances need to be laid aside. The IWA branches need a working relationship once again.

Wow..... I have been on vacation the past week and just found out about this, such great news for IWA Mid South. I am pleased by the direction the new owners have taken to kick off the revival and I will plan to be in Bellevue on the 16th.
