While I had to watch the show from the behing the merch table, and mabe didn't always have the best vantage point, I have to say that this years KOTDM tourney was one of the very best shows that I have ever seen live. There was not a bad match either night; even the undercard worked their asses off. Every single guy in the locker room practically killed themselves this weekend, and I think it was an awesome show for IWA's relaunch. For those of you sitting behing a computer, who didn't even go to the show, but instead stayed home refreshing FB every 10 seconds to read between the lines of everyones statuses and make their own assumptions, my heart truely bleeds for your absolutely pathetic lives. You missed one HELL of a show!! I hope you had fun running your chops with your assumptions, though.... cause we all sure had a fucking blast at the shows this weekend!!!

Can't make any comments about the show itself til I get the dvd. From all the reviews, sounds like the type of tournament deathmatch wrestling needed. But, when the guys whos tournament it is to win would rather leave a show than wrestle someone, something isn't right. The new owners have some explain-ian to do.

Who's tournament it is to win?? How can that be said, when he didn't even compete? And you said guys, which is plural.... That confuses me too. And since you weren't *at* the show, you're only going by what's posted online... and THE ONLY PEOPLE posting ANYTHING NEGATIVE are people who WERE NOT IN ATTENDANCE. Please take this into consideration. Everyone who attended is giving rave reviews.

Please take this into consideration. Everyone who attended is giving rave reviews. That's literally how it is for every indy show ever though. No matter the federation. Genuine CZW fans (not to be confused with the former board of disgruntled ex fans) always were over joyed with often average CZW shows, JAPW fans always talk about how great the live shows are and I have literally never seen a JAPW show that didn't leave me unhappy. And there's been a lot of instances on here even when people talk about how good something was live, then when you get it on video, it's average-ish. I think that's why a lot of people don't believe how good Kings of Extreme was, because of this stigma of indy fans putting over a show to an extreme that there's no way it'd ever live up to. The DVD will be released in a week or two. People will see how the show was then and form their own opinions. Most of the people "talking trash" about the show are genuinely irritated by things that happened outside of the ring. Dysfunction has never given me a reason not to believe him, and no one has tried to deny the things he's saying as true, at all. Possibly one person. I don't know. But the fact is, no one within the situation that would know the truth has tried to deny anything Dys has said. So it's Dys' word versus nobodies. I kind of have to believe Dysfunction, and it disgusts me a little bit, as a long time fan. Plus a thing or two other over the weekend that are better left undiscussed. And while I am very glad Reed Bentley got an opportunity to prove himself, I'd be absolutely lying if I said I was happy that Corperal Robinson, Dysfunction, and Nate Webb weren't in the tournament in favor of The Hooliganz and Reed Bentley. Chuey Martinez, I can give or take.. But those three were three of the star draws of the tournament. How do you expect people to not have a bit of angst when they are pulled out, with no reason given (no one has even MENTIONED Nate Webb, or questioned what happened with him..), and replaced by inferior talent. I'm sure even Reed Bentley would agree that Reed Bentley < Nate Webb. This was far longer and more rambling than I originally intended for it to be.

far from official, but I've been following SMV releases since 2005 and generally in recent years, DVDs are turned around in a week or two. Several CHIKARA events have been released less than 24 hours later, but I sincerely doubt this will be released that way.

After the emails I exchanged with Kevin Kleinrock where the future seemed to look up for Kings of Extreme, I've seen or heard no progress. It seems it's back to being a cold case in that regard, unfortunately

I've actually contacted the head of Big Vision through twitter about the show. twitter.com/#!/hcbigvision He responded to several of my messages before completely abandoning twitter. It was earlier this year, he recently started posting again. This is what he sent me: HCBigVision: "Hey there. I think we released a few of their DVDs but I never produced any of the tapingz. I'll look into it if u give me the event title."27 Mar at 22:14 I sent him the show name, he never responded.

I thought having Reed Bentley in the tournament was better than having Nate Webb, actually. He looked absolutely haggard at the 2009 tournament, and I just can't imagine him looking any better now. If it was Nate Webb circa 2002-2003, then yeah, he's better. But Reed is awesome.

Nate Webb-- i think it was more of a mis-communication and the fact he probably didn't want to do death matches.
Chuey-- His uncle and a couple close friends were killed recently and he chose being with family over wrestling.
Corp-- He has been pretty ill recently... he tweeted all weekend about how he wishes he would have been there.
Dys-- i don't think i need to comment on his status haha
The tourney was one of the best i've seen (i've been to every one since 2000). Every guy there busted their ass and you could tell they gave a damn about IWA and bringing it back. I'm glad i was apart of the relaunch and after talking to Vince Jones they seem to have some big plans! I'm truly excited for wrestling again!

Me too Victor! The new IWA has so much in store for the fans. Are you going to try to go to the 15th Anny show next month??
As far as no shows, cancellations and replacements.... WELCOME TO INDEPENDENT WRESTLING. Sure, it sucks when you look forward to seeing someone work and they can't do it for whatever reason. I would have been heartbroken had something happened to Devon or Drake to force them to pull out, so I do get it. But completely tearing apart a company and blaming the owners isn't at all fair. Shit happens. I think what matters, is that whatever takes the place of replaced guys, tears the house down. And not one person can tell me that there was ONE WRESTLER in attendance who didn't do just that. EVERYONE on the show brought the crowd to their feet!
Not to mention, what a fucking amazing performance from Simon Sezz!! He went out there knowing he had a lot of minds to change about his death match ability and he damn sure changed all of them. I know JC Bailey was looking down on him and chanting his name right along with everyone else in the building. He left his heart and soul in the ring, along with buckets of blood!!!!
