It doesn't really sound that bad. The stips should have been saved or not used at all. I'll probably check it out.

With Devon Moore, Juggulator, & Pinkie Sanchez getting put into the show, and some of the crappier stipulations dropped (although for some reason, the Shopping Cart death match stays.. did Brennan have an extra shopping cart laying around or something?) this show might end up watchable.
Although I'm really not into Danny Demanto being brought in.. Hopefully he got a We Want Z-Barr chant. That seemed to make him happy in Indianapolis.
Might get this show on DVD. Any chance on second round and finals results?

Wow, I had Gage pegged for this tourny but damn...give it up to Danny, been on a hell of a roll this year, I found a new respect for Havoc months ago, he'll definitely be a force to reckon with next year. Congrats Havoc.

so i hear (and as i always say that this is "what i hear" that dosent mean its true, its just what i hear) that levy was thrown onto the razor board and pinned there, and as soon as the 3 count fell, he popped right up.
take that for what you will.

This looks horrible. Sad thing is, me being the blood-mark that I am I'll probably be getting this.
Thankfully there were no major injuries, remember what happened last year? Instead we were graced with Mike Levy in a razor wire match... Which he no sold the final bump. AWESOME. I really don't like Shaddix going all the way to the finals and being the last guy eliminated, but I could see it coming after all Kevin likes his DEEEEP South guys. (ex. FreakShow winning last year).
Wait, did I just read it right? Whacks in a MOTN!? Wow, this tournament must be really bad. Gotta give it up for Whacks, though. From photography to putting on the best match of the show.
As much as I like Havoc, I could give two ****s about him winning this excuse for a deathmatch tournament. Remember how good this thing was back in 2006? God, now look at it.
I'm assuming the "convict guy" was Sam Hane?. Also the "Spider guy" please tell me it was Spidar Boodrow, if it was I am soooooo buying this show.
Hopefully...HOPEFULLY this show will come out better on DVD than it was live.

I made the trip from Chattanooga and it was well worth it. Kevin goes all out every year to make this a special show for us bloodthirsty deathmatch fans.
I can confirm there were about 45 people there. Cops showed up before it began but they were sent away haha I don't think there were any problems but they were just checking it out maybe?
I wish I remembered more of the spots but here are the results with a few notes.
(1)Freakshow d. Hellaware Assasin - good opening match where both guys worked hard.
(2)Prophet d. Mike Levy in what was actually a pretty good match except for the one botched spot on the barbwire ropes.
(3)Spider Boodrow w/ valet d. Syko(who DID look like a smaller, paler, slightly strung out Mideon). Spider's valet killed his heat and had no business being out there. She was a REALLY skinny bleached blond with a nasty face that kept interfering in the match, delivering WEAK meaningless hits on Syko. She would occasionally get some good heel heat from individuals in the crowd but she interfered way too much in this match and it meant nothing because no one cared. Spider's valet lit a table on fire and Spider ended the match with some type of sitdown slam off the top of the Uhaul.
(4) Corey Shaddix d. Pinky Sanchez. Pinky came to the ring riding a bike and wearing a batting helmet. After the match they embraced.
(5) Insane Lane d. Sam Hane(aka The Convict guy). Lane has lost some weight and looked good.
(6) Danny Havoc d. The Juggulator - Juggy didnt have on his makeup. Havoc put Juggulator through two of the X's, Juggulator then answered by putting Havoc through two. Havoc finished it off in the middle of the ring for the win through his 3rd X.
(7) Nick Gage d. Devon Moore - This match was pretty brutal. Gage was a madman that pounded the everloving crap out of Moore.
(8) WHACKS d. Danny Demanto - I do remember WHACKS coming off the top rope onto Demanto laying down with light tubes.
(9) Chrisjen Hayme d. Phil Wilson & Jeremy Flynt in a really good three way dance non-tournament match. I believe this match was a qualifier for a future IWA DS heavyweight title match. Flynt hit a cool choke suplex on Wilson(I believe). Wilson(who has also lost some weight and looked pretty good) dove to the outside on Flynt and then Hayme flipped out onto both of them. In the ring Hayme knocked Flynt silly with a foot to the face out of the corner. Wilson crotches Hayme on the top rope but Hayme lays him out, throws Flynt out of the ring and hits a 450 splash off the top rope. All three guys worked really hard to show the crowd a good wrestling match and it was a good change up that was hard-hitting, fast-paced, and high-flying.
(10) Corey Shaddix d. Insane Lane with a roll up for probably the biggest surprise of the tournament. Lane couldn't believe it and told Shaddix he better win it.
(11) Freakshow d. Spider Boodrow w/ valet. Spider's valet didn't mess with Freakshow at all in this match. Spider put Freakshow's head into the exposed fan. Freakshow slammed Spider into the wheelbarrow that was full of light tubes and thorns. After the match Spider had to go get his valet, who was still jawing with fans.
(12) Nick Gage d. Prophet in what was probably the most one sided match of the tournament. Prophet just didn't have an answer to Gage's offense. He spent the last probably five minutes of the match on the mat and then ended up tangled up in some barbwire boards as Gage finished him off and then gave him a post-match beat down.
(13) Danny Havoc d. WHACKS. This was the best match up of the tournament since really either guy could have advanced. They went back and forth just unleashing everything they had on each other. It was the best match of the night.
It took them FOREVER to get the 200 Light Tubes, barbwire ropes match set up.
(14) Danny Havoc d. Freakshow, Nick Gage, and Corey Shaddix in the 4 way final. Gage and Freakshow went after each other and after about ten minutes, Gage made Freakshow submit outside the ring. Havoc and Shaddix agreed to work together and go after Gage. The eliminated Freakshow comes back into the ring and distract Gage who is rolled up and pinned. Havoc and Shaddix brawl to the top of the UHAUL where Havoc slams Shaddix off through barbwire tables for the win.
Freakshow and Gage are brawling again and brawl for probably ten minutes after Havoc wins. The other wrestlers come out to break them up and they end up divided by DeepSouth and CZW. It is announced that Freakshow will fight Nick Gage on the next IWA Deepsouth show. I understand this builds to a Gage vs Freakshow match but it made Havoc's victory seem not as important.
Other Notes: I heard the ring was brought down by Mike Levy. There are rumors that some CHIKARA workers may be brought in for the next Deepsouth show. Big kudos to all the people who traveled so far to see the show. Demento, Moore, and Sanchez were booked at 8 pm the night before due to travel problems for Darin Childs, Violent V, and Rexx Reed.

Show sounds fun. Havoc has had a great year in deathmatch tournaments. I wonder if he will show up and make the finals at the Masters of Pain tournament next month.
