It says there running another Carnage Cup. In the fall. And they have a match signed already. But this match sounds like bologna.
Devil’s Playground death match ( no rope barbed wire, razor wire spooled on one side, razor wire tennis racket, and a devil’s bunkbed: 2 tables stacked, bottom with light tubes, top one with barbed wire/lighter fluid)
Prophet vs. Syko
I don't know what to think. Maybe Matt or Jasper could shed a little light?

Match is legit, that is only the beginning. Carnage Cup will be the only show run this year. If things go well we will be running a couple of shows in 2009.

I hope you guys aren't blowing your wad too soon. That sounds like a final to me. If this is just a first round match, I can't wait to hear what you guys have in mind for a final. And finally, who is Syko? Any info?

Maybe Matt or Jasper could shed a little light? let's add a No Rope Barbed Wire, 200 Running Chainsaws, and 4 corners of loaded shotguns match! Heck, let's also have a decapitation match, where the loser is put into a decapitation device and beheaded live! The razor blade and razor wire matches were too much. this is just fucking retarded. And I thought Kevin Brennan hated wrestling because he couldn't make any money?

Although this match is really dangerous, Prophet has worked it before. So it could turn out alright. I may buy this if it is for sale.

I love how the message on their page says, "For those of you who thought that IWA Deep South was dead, you were wrong." Wasn't Redrum the one who came on here and said it was dead, that wrestling was dead, and that Vince McMahon was a piece of shit for killing wrestling. So I guess redrum was wrong too then, right? I'm sorry, but after that message that you posted blaming everyone but yourself for YOUR business not making any money kind of put a sour taste in my mouth. I know that I was one of the ones asking for a razor wire final, but after seeing what that shit can do to a man I have changed my mind on that. I agree with Obo, leave the razors out. The match is sick enough. All I can say is good luck and I hope your strategy of trying to actually kill someone in a match doesn't pan out.

Never said wrestling was dead. I said it was in bad shape, going downhill, and hard to make money at. Vince to a great degree is killing wrestling. I was frustrated and needed a long break. I love death match wrestling. Allot of fans have been staying on me about at least running Carnage Cup. This I agree to do for the love of the show, and the fans. This is the reason I am just doing Carnage Cup and no other shows this year. Because it is hard money wise to make it. However it may change soon.

I am excited just for the chance to get to see the wrestlers that I enjoy live again. I hope everything works out.

"IWA Deep South is closed and we have no plans to bring it back at this time. Thanks to all the fans who supported us the last two years. Pro Wrestling just isn't what it used to be. There is way too much drama and bullshit that goes on. Also to the promoters, lets face the facts, there is NO MONEY in the wrestling business anymore. It just isn't worth the risk. The average person will never like wrestling, so it doesn't matter. MMA is the wave of the future, it is popular in the mainstream, and everyone is making money. Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble but, pro wrestling will become just like boxing almost obsolete, irrelevant to the mainstream. We have Satan's son Vince McMahon to thank for that. MMA is taking the place of wrestling and boxing, as the top action sport that is just facts. When you put PRO WRESTLING at the top of your poster to advertise, no matter if its the best shit in the world the average person don't give a shit. However if you put ULTIMATE FIGHTING at the top of the poster, you have a line two miles long to get into the son of a bitch. I am not talking down about wrestling, I Love wrestling, I have all my life, its just looking like it may have ran its coarse. So don't anyone get mad, what I am saying is from 7 years of promoting shows. The last year from observing MMA I have seen it take off like crazy. It is truly sad, I know but it appears to be the way it is." for anyone who cares

I am leaving this up until we can talk to the owner of Deep South wrestling. I am not putting IWA in front of that because we were told they were out of business. Please don't post anything else until we make a statement on here concerning this matter. thanks,Patti

I spoke with Ian and he said that Kevin Brennan is paid up on the use of the IWA name until October 31, 2008. If anyone would like to post about them now, thats fine. Thanks to all of you for respecting this issue until I found out what was going on. thanks,Patti

Did anyone see the Danny Havoc shoot on the promoter of Deep South? He was ribbing on Mike Burns, who was the booker for Deep South. Burns was taping the interview. It was a joke.
