You forgot one little thing there, Yan.... COMPLETELY different owners.
Same booker=same talent... of course he's gonna book the guys he knows are going to put on the best show, regardless of the banner it's under.

This is just my speculation and I will probably get heat for this but I think that IWA Midwest is IWA Mid South. I mean same talent, same merch girl, same venue and Ian works every show. If it's essentially the same booker, talent and venues, but a different name, so whilst it's not technically the same company, but it might as well be, even if they appear to try and act differently put it that way. It's like saying that WWE and WWF are different companies. How you perceive that is up to you as a fan though, obviously.

I'm actually happy that Ian is involved in IWA Midwest. Ian is one of the best bookers in the Indies. My dream is to bring IWA to California or Vegas and call it IWA West Coast. But it takes a lot of money to put together a show, needless to say run on a regular basis. I wish I had some financial backing but I don't, If ever start IWA West Coast I promise to book Ian.

I actually can't wait for a show to happen in southern Indiana. It has the right environment for wrestling - hospitable people, good restaurants and enough to do along the way home without dying of boredom. The 170 miles between Chicago and Bellevue are devoid of anything worthy to look at, and locals are just plain hostile to us "city folk". Illinois is miserable in every way that it doesn't have to be, yet the locals try really hard to be assholes to everyone. Can't you tell?
I never think IWA should run in Chicago again. There are too many power marks here who'll try to put their best interests over IWA's.

some video sent to IWA Midwest by Jack Thriller himself. The IWA Midwest website has finally been updated also. Going to making some more additions to the page such as a merch page, roster, and past results in the next few days.

Will Axl still be on this show? He announced his retirement on his facebook page earlier this week:
"This is very easy to say. No tearful videos or thank you's. I had fun wrestling Balls Mahoney at Extreme Reunion. I will keep my thoughts on the other matches and event as a whole to myself. I think I'm done. I had 24 yrs doing what I love. I'm not going to wrestle another match. Thanks for the ride. It ended in a bang....Literally.- Axl Rotten"

I also read he had broken ribs, and his sternum from being in a car crash, so that might be the 'bang' he was referring to.

Got an update on the card. I will update the first post shortly
Unfortunately Axl Rotten will be unable to make the show due to an injury he sustained.
Due to prior engagements, Niel Diamond Cutter will also not be appearing, however his replacement against Matt Tremont will be Simon Sezz
Other new matches announced... Konga Kong vs Sea Man Johnny Wisdom vs Adam Bueller The Hooligans vs Chase King & Mr. Hollywood
Plus more to still be announced

Isn't Sea Man the name of a character from South Park? Although, great name for a wrestler too, ha

Explain to me how ANOTHER, SMALLER company ran a show in Bellevue 2 weeks before the April IWA show and PACKED THE PLACE. And yes-it is in a metro area, go 5 miles east on Plank Rd and you run smack into Peoria, IL. Home of people such as Jim Thome, Sam Kinesin-I know I messed his name up, Richard Pryor, World Famous Big Al's, don't believe me...GOOGLE it! GOOGLE MAP it! Also I would like to say that I have been around this biz all my life and NEVER have heard as many complaints about this and that as I hear from IWA fans...ridiculous. I live 1 1/2 blocks from the building, of which I have all of 2 problems with the building itself. 1. The bathroom are in fact poorly maintained as is the rest of the building. 2.No air ventilation in the gym-which was the reason for the ban of lighttube usage in the building. I have no problem with the building temps in the summer time, it's HARDCORE WRESTLING-not ballet. I've helped tore down in that heat, set up deathmatches in that heat, bled in the ring multiple times stringing up wire in that building and never complained-AND I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER! I don't see too many crybabies and bigmouths volunteering their time or energy to help things go a bit quicker and hopefully smoother. So either support it and show up at shows-Oly I know you can't show often because of distance, or shut the I have a potty mouth up and stop posting on the board. I probably won't be at any shows this summer myself because I have tons to do with my getting married in August but like I said-I will be keeping tabs on things. If ANYBODY-I repeat ANYBODY has ANY BETTER IDEAS about VENUES and such-SPEAK UP-for SHUT UP! Thank you! Good Day.

Is the Tremont/Sezz going to be Barbedwire Madness or a normal match?

How did NGW pack the place...well...it was their first show since 2009, but it was also a reunion show and also billed as the final hurrah for the organization. The event was also for the induction of its promoter into the Central Illinois Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. It was a special night and it drew because of that.
